Barbados: Mother charged in death of son Featured

Police in Barbados have arrested and jointly charged two persons in relation to the death of six year old Jahan King.

Jahan’s mother Lasanta Katrina Gill 26 years, of Belfield, Jackson, St. Michael and her thirty five year old boyfriend Dwayne Alistair Marshall has been charged with the offence of Manslaughter, in relation to the death. The six year old was formally of the same address.

Jahan died on June 29, 2015 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after he was transported there by ambulance.

A post mortem was ordered to discover his cause of death.

Marshall and Gill are expected to appear at the District A Magistrates Court on Monday April 25th.
