Gregory Isaacs, Buju Banton, Sly and Robbie and Lee 'Scratch' Perry are among a list of five nominees for the 2010 reggae grammy.

Gregory Isaacs, who died last month has been nominated for his part in the work Isaacs Meets Isaac which was done with King Isaac.


In an official release on his website, www.machelmontano.com Montano states that “the energy from his latest recording sessions coupled with cries from his adoring fans played a major role in convincing him to return”.

This, after the Soca Ambassador took a hiatus from Carnival 2010 to start new projects and explore various avenues to further develop his sound, brand and mission.

T.O.K promising a major comeback

T.O.K one of dancehall most successful group of all time, have been on the US south coast and they are giving fans some solid performance.

The group, which left the island two weeks ago, have turned the musical heat up at a number of clubs, including Club Lux in Orlando, Club Levels in Melbourne and Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale.

According to group member Flexx: “It’s been great. We’ve been getting crazy, positive feedback on all the shows, great turnout plus the fans are loving the new singles we performed like In This Club and Bubble.
