Hunger is driving up crime in Venezuela

Venezuela’s violence hit new peaks in 2016 amid a breakdown in the law enforcement and judicial systems and a spike in hunger-related crimes, a leading nonprofit reported Wednesday.

Promising a level of unprecedented luxury never before seen on the island of Saint Lucia, Sandals Resorts International has announced its plan to add a fourth resort to its award-winning list of properties on the Eastern Caribbean island.

The Caribbean is mourning the death of Former Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, Sir Dwight Venner. Sir Dwight died in St Lucia Thursday night just over a year after announcing his retirement in late November 2015.
