Conor Looney New CEO at Digicel Barbados Featured

Digicel has a new Chief Executive Officer. He is Conor Looney, who will lead Barbados’ number one telecommunications company into its next stage of development.

Conor will lead the team of over 150 employees, delivering the best value and best customer service on the fastest 4G network in the country.

Mr. Looney, who brings a wealth of experience to Barbados, with over 20 years in Operations, Sales, Marketing and Business Development in Europe and the Caribbean, joined the Digicel family in 2012 as Marketing Director for Digicel Jamaica.

In less than two years he was appointed Operations Director in Digicel Jamaica, before being promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Digicel British Virgin Islands in 2014 where he was responsible for increasing Digicel’s customer base and delivering strong growth in Data and Business Solutions.

Conor, who is known for his passion to deliver the very best for his customers and having an excellent leadership style with his staff, said about his new post, “I am delighted to be joining the very talented team here in Barbados. As we continue our evolution, becoming a complete communications and entertainment provider, I am looking forward to leading Digicel in Barbados on our mission to provide our valued customers with amazing multimedia experiences across multiple devices, continuing to be the leader in value and to ensure that Barbados is at the forefront in terms of world class innovation and customer service."
